Classic Camp Cobbler

Why it’s perfect: Teaches lid heat control. Crowd favorite.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans pie filling (peach, cherry, apple)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter (sliced thin)
  • Cinnamon (optional)

Directions

  1. Dump pie filling into oven
  2. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly (don’t stir)
  3. Lay butter slices across top
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon
  5. Bake with 6 bottom / 18 top for 35–45 minutes

Tip: No bottom stirring = crisp top, gooey bottom.
